The customer's invoice page on a phone: bill-to block, a refrigerator repair with make and model, an evaporator fan motor, subtotal and total of $384.50, an amber balance-due box, a tip picker with no tip, 10%, 15% and 20%, and a 'Pay $384.50 by card' button.
  • Signed on the page or on your phone
  • No tip, 10%, 15% or 20%
  • The card goes to Stripe, never to us

Paid before you leave the driveway.

No app on their side. No card reader on yours. Three steps from finished work to money in your Stripe account.

  1. Text the invoice.

From the job, tap Invoice, then SMS or Email. The customer gets a link to a hosted invoice page with the line items, the totals and the balance due. No account, no download.

  2. They sign and pick a tip.

They sign on the page to approve it. The tip picker offers No tip, 10%, 15% or 20%, with the dollar amount under each, and the pay button updates to the new total.

  3. They pay by card.

One button, Pay $384.50 by card, opens Stripe's secure checkout. The money goes to your own Stripe account, then to your bank, and you get an alert that it's paid.

The signature pad with the invoice total, $295.00, shown above it.
At the door: hand over your phone. The invoice total sits above the pad, so the customer signs for a number they've seen.
An invoice ready to send: the customer's phone number under Text to, their email under Email to, SMS and Email buttons, and the invoice below with a refrigerator repair, an evaporator fan motor and a balance due of $384.50.

Around the pay button.

Card payments run through Stripe. The customer's card number never touches OnsiteBoard.

  • Deposits on estimates. Ask for a deposit on an estimate. The customer's page shows Deposit to start and a button to pay it by card. It counts toward the final invoice, and no tip is asked on a deposit.
  • Your bank, no extra fee. Connect Stripe from Settings in a few minutes, inside the app. Payouts go to your bank. Stripe's card processing fee applies; OnsiteBoard adds no fee of its own.
  • Cash and check, too. Record any payment on the job. The balance, the invoice's payment history and your reports all count it.
  • You know when it lands. An alert when a customer signs, declines an estimate or pays. A tip is listed as its own line in the payment history.

Everything else in the box

One app for the whole job, from the booking to the payment. Every feature is in every plan.

  • Label reading

Photograph an appliance nameplate, a water heater label or an HVAC data plate; brand, model and serial go onto the service line, for you to check.

  • Remind in one tap

Unpaid balances show in red, with a Remind button that writes the text for you.

  • Online booking

Customers request a window you're really free on your booking link, and you confirm it. No double-booking from your booking page.

  • Import your customers

Bring customers and job history over from a spreadsheet or CSV. Repeats matched.

  • Your day, in time windows

Jobs sit in the arrival windows you set, with a reminder before each one.

  • Know who's calling

On iPhone, a customer's name shows on the incoming call, even if they're not in your contacts.

  • Draft from your notes

Tap Draft and the service lines are proposed from the job's notes, priced from your templates.

  • Browser dashboard

The week, the route, the quotes and who owes you, on a bigger screen. Same account.

One plan. Every feature.

Try all of it free for 14 days. No card needed to start.

OnsiteBoard Pro
$49.99/mo

or $479.00 a year (about $39.92/mo). Save about $120 a year with the yearly plan, compared with paying monthly.

  • Online booking, signatures and payment reminders are in the one plan. No add-ons, no higher tier.
  • 14 days free, no card to start
  • iPhone, Android and the browser dashboard, one account
  • Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play settings

Billed through the App Store or Google Play; renews until you cancel. You can start in a browser. The plan itself is bought in the iPhone or Android app. After the trial, without a plan, your jobs, customers and invoices stay viewable and exportable. Creating new work and sending documents by email from OnsiteBoard need a plan. Stripe's card processing fees are separate.

Questions techs ask

Do I need a card reader?
No. The customer pays from the invoice link, on their own phone or computer, on a Stripe-hosted card form. You never handle the card.
Does my customer need an app or an account?
No. The invoice link opens in their browser. They sign, add a tip if they want, and pay by card. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for.
How do tips work?
The invoice page offers No tip, 10%, 15% or 20% of the balance, each with its dollar amount, and 15% is marked as suggested. The tip goes on as its own line at checkout, doesn't count against the invoice balance, and is listed as its own line in the payment history.
What does a card payment cost me?
Stripe's standard card processing fee, taken by Stripe from the payment. OnsiteBoard doesn't add a fee of its own, on the invoice or on the tip.
Can I take a deposit before the work?
Yes. Set a deposit on the estimate and send it. The customer can approve the estimate and pay the deposit by card from the same page, and the deposit counts toward the final invoice. Some states limit deposits on home improvement work: in California, 10% of the price or $1,000, whichever is less. Check your state's rules before you set one.
What if they pay cash or by check?
Record the payment on the job. The balance updates, and it counts in your reports like any other payment.
